Awaiting Gen Greene's arrival in South Carolina, a small detachment of Brig Gen Marion's men were to observe British movement around Camden. At the mouth of Rafting Creek, they captured a boat laden with corn killiing two, wounding four, and capturing six British soldiers and one Tory.
