Loyalist Maj Andrew Deveaux militia descovered a Patriot ship aground while searching creeks and inlets for hidden Patriod shipping. As Maj Devaeaux troops attempted to free the vessel using multiple row boats, they were attacked by Patriot militia from the shore. No mention of the outcome other that three Patriots wounded and no Loyalist casaultes.
