“When Qawam ad-Daula Kerbuqa heard that the Franks had taken Antich he musted his army and advanced into Syria, where he camped at Marji Dabiq. All the Turkish and Arab forces in Syria rallied to him except for the army from Aleppo… When the Franks hear of this they were alarmed and afraid, for their troops were weak and short of food..." (Ibn al-Athir, 205).
