Between threats of a nuclear attack from Eisenhower and the death of Stalin, the communists were forced to end the fighting. Both sides signed a cease-fire agreement which is still in place today. The war led to increased military spending in the US as well as the formation of the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization.Añadido al timeline:
