September, 2006 – Sam becomes fast friends with Damien Ashcroft but mostly out of necessity. Tom is weird, Zachary too and Christian is friends with Damien also. He knows he needs to do this to survive. Even so, Damien and the other boys mock him and treat him like their lap dog. This is good enough for Sam who is determined to be more than a shadow. Has developed a crush on Anna Clearwater who won’t give him the time of day, but is interested in Damien, which doesn’t surprise Sam. He’s used to rejection at this point.

5th November, 2006 – Bonfire Night Celebrations at HSA. Attends with Damien and friends. Sees Anna and her upset. Wishes he was brave enough to go to her.
