1st January, 2001 – Benjamin begs Riley to take him back but only if she stops drinking and they go to couple’s counselling again. She agrees, much to Sam’s upset.

January, 2001 – Things are going well for Sam’s parents and they seem very happy. Benjamin always present, even helping Sam and Alex with their homework. Going out to dinner, to the aquarium and zoo. Sam stupidly believes things will be different this time.

4th February, 2001 – Benjamin moves back into the family home.
