Will wants to attend with Emily but never finds the courage to ask her. Samantha Rose asks him instead and rather than going solo to another ball alone, he accepts. She ends up getting upset about Robert Reynolds with another girl and sobbing drunkenly on his shoulder during the after party. She tries to snog him too but Will politely declines and walks her back to her room like the gentleman he is. Wishes he had gone with Emily.
