More than 240 Dakota men convicted for killing and doing bad things to the civilians in the past fall are brought to Davenport, Iowa, where they spend 3 years there before getting banished. The Dakota are sent to new reservations in Dakota territory. The place is unable to farm any crops. The US made a law that withdraws all the treaties made with the Dakota and makes the Dakota unable to live in Minnesota even if they didn’t participate in the war.
