Notch quits his day job to work on Minecraft. The result is the game in its Alpha stage, which adds redstone dust that can be mined from the new redstone ore. It also adds redstone torches, levers, buttons, pressure plates, and iron doors. The game's price is also doubled and becomes available to play on a client window.
