The Tet Offensive was a North Vietnam military offensive campaign against South Vietnam. During this time, the Tet Offensive produced one of the most crucial and enduring images of the war.

Eddie Adams, a photographer, captured a photo of a public execution of a South Vietnamese citizen, who was a suspected Viet Cong officer.

As a result, American opposition against the U.S. presence in the Vietnam War grew increasingly vehement.
