1 mayo 1903 año - Wilson's 14 Points

Descripción:

The 14 points were President Woodrow Wilson's envision of a post-World War 1 Europe. The treaty called for:

- Open diplomacy without secret treaties
- Maritime rights, as said, "Absolute freedom of navigation upon the seas"
- No economic barriers
- Settlement of territorial disputes
- Establishment of League of Nations

However, due to differing demands of the British and the French, most of the points were not accepted except the establishment of the League of Nations.

Although Woodrow Wilson wanted the U.S. to join the League of Nations, the Senate did not approve because it "would infringe upon U.S. sovereignty and Congress's power to declare war."
