In a close and severely regionally divisive referendum, British voters approve of a British Exit from the European Union. While it will take several years, Britain does eventually leave the EU, although the wave of article 50 invocations predicted by some observers does not seem to have happened, although Eurosceptic sentiment has remained strong throughout Europe.
