World War I started on July 28th, 1914 and ended on November 11th, 1918. It was not a great war for Russia seeing as how they didn’t have many resources or industrial capacity. They also didn’t have much supplies for soldiers who were fighting in the war. Nicholas II went and tried to assume command of the army but evidently was not fit to lead the soldiers to victory. Russia lost the war.
