Prime Minister King did little to support Canadians through the Great Depression, going so far as to say he would not lend a cent of federal funds to Conservative provinces in order to provide relief for Canadians. This has indications of discrimination based on political beliefs, something we saw growing in our own world today. King lost his reelection campaign because of his reluctance to support struggling Canadians.
