Lawrence Krauss provided a character witness statement for Amber Heard to the Australian Courts regarding the Dog Smuggling.

Krauss also went on to have an exclusive long form interview with Johnny Depp for his Origins Project at Arizona State University in March 2016 - something not unheard of for Johnny Depp to do but extremely unusual for him at this stage of his career - the implication being that Johnny Depp had to reciprocate the favour of Lawrence Krauss providing the witness statement in support of Amber Heard. His only link to her at this time appears to be a cameo role in London Fields although Krauss is a leading light of the atheist movement and an acquaintance of Richard Dawkins who has frequently shared a stage with Amber Heard.
