Descripción:

The capture of Sicily. Italian government Forced dictator Benito Mussolini to resign. Hitler was determined to stop the Allies in Italy rather than fight on German soil. Tuskegee Airmen - pilots of the all-black 99th Pursuit Squadron, went on to more impressive strategic strikes led by Eisenhower against the German forces throughout Italy.
Significance - The allies were able to secure part of the Mediterranean Sea and Axis dictator was overthrown.
