Descripción:
Background- After gaining national attention, the Civil Rights Movement was becoming a front page headliner almost every day. Over 250,000 people attended to listen to Civil Rights leaders speak in behalf of the movement. The march most famously is known for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech, "I have a dream."
Conclusion- Historians debate whether this event had an impact or not. Many felt that the march was an incredible development in the fight for civil rights, while others looked at it as a get together, a "feel good" event which did not progress the movement towards progress.
