The Palmer Raids were a series of raids led by the Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer. After having his front porch blown up, he rounded up many officials that led to the arrest of thousands of immigrants which would lead them to their arrest. This was due in part because of the "Red Scare" This was fear among Americans that communism would spread around the world and immigrants were the ones to blame.
