All year long, video games were decried as sexist, misogynistic and regressive. Some examples are Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is apparently "violently sexist" while Bayonetta 2 was decried as overtly over-sexualized. This wave of judgment seemed to have started in 2013 when Grand Theft Auto V faced a wave of criticism over violence toward sex workers and was banned in some stores like in Australia.
