Automobile: Berlin does an about-face and no longer supports the end of combustion engines in 2035 as planned by Brussels

Germany's transport minister has indicated that synthetic fuels and hybrid engines should be promoted. Against all odds, it is a coalition government with the Greens in it that could dismantle the Brussels initiative to ban the sale of all engines in 2035, which had been defended by Angela Merkel. Berlin thus joins the French position.
