Aksum and Egypt did so much for the ancient and modern worlds. While the two kingdoms never had any interaction, they both made huge contributions to domestication through taming horses and using cattle for food and plowing. They were also both large users of architectural tombs. The obelisks and pyramids helped shape modern architecture.
