President Kennedy attempted to overthrow the new Cuban government by sending Cuban exiles into the country as soldiers. These soldiers entered on Cuba's south coast on the Bay of Pigs. The Cubans crushed the exiles, and killed many of them and threw the survivors in prison.Añadido al timeline:
