The EURO 7 standard ("VII" for trucks), which will come into force in 2025, could mean the end of the 100% combustion engine, according to the German manufacturers' association (VDA). The European Commission's standard with precise rates is expected to be published in 2021.The measures should be much stricter than for Euro 6/VI (both for CO, HC or NOx, NH3 or PM). A reduction of half of the current rates according to the experts.
