Emperor Zhu Di changes Ma He’s first name to Zheng to honor his loyal service. He then promotes Zheng He to become the Grand Eunuch. A Eunuch is a man who has been castrated, especially (in the past) one employed to guard the women's living areas at an oriental court. A Grand Eunuch is the head if the Eunuchs serving in the imperial household.
