Descripción:

The thing that really began the fight for integration was the Plessy v. Ferguson court case. This court case is known for granting ‘separate but equal’ laws. Unfortunately, separate but equal didn’t really happen in most places. Instead, whites were still treated as the superior race, and African-Americans were treated unfairly. African-Americans were not being treated equally to the whites; instead, they got used textbooks, and things that were not high quality compared to what the whites were receiving.
