Xu Wenwu, while hiding in the mountains, discovers the mythical entrance to Kunlun in the Nanshan mountains. Passing through the gates, he is transported to Ta-Lo, where he meets the Xian, the immortals. His arrival is celebrated, and he is invited to join their community and eat the Peaches of Immortality. There he meets and falls in love with Jiang Li.
