After the building of the Berlin Wall, SHIELD assembles a response team known as the Avengers to covertly deploy against Soviet threats. They are based out of The Clarion, a top secret facility in Bonn, Germany. The team consists of Peggy Carter, Phineas Horton and his Synthetic Man (with Jim Hammond as it's pilot), and Christoph Nord. Rick Stoner, discovering the existence of Isaiah Bradley, releases him from prison and puts him on the team as well.
