The Crow was tattooed in Toronto on 9th September 2012, the day after the screening of the West of Memphis documentary. Damien Echols, Bill Carter and Johnny all received identical tattoos.

The significance is a reference to the film The Crow about a man who comes back to life after being murdered. This symbolism is also explored in the documentary, a crow being a mythological creature that gives or takes life.
