This was the year my dad and his grandparents immigrated to America. This event has always been meaningful to me because it reminds of of how hard it must've been for my parents and grandparents to be living in America as immigrants who didn't have much and who didn't know any English. Yet, they managed to push through those hardships and come out with a strong foundation and happy lives for both themselves and their kids.
