Descripción:
Plessy v Ferguson is a landmark Supreme Court case that supported constitutionally racial segregation under the “separate but equal” idea. Homer Plessy, an African American man, had refused to ride in a car specifically for black people. The court rejected his case that his rights were violated and ruled that state laws which imply a legal distinction between white and black people do not defy the 13th and 14th amendments by a 7-1 vote.
