This law ultimately disregarded Filipinos that had served during WWII and voided any compensation the U.S had owed them. Filipinos were not given the specific benefits after the war that were promised before. This law invalidated Filipino participation in the war and as nationalists for America at the time.

This reminds me of how Filipinos are erased from history and really taken for granted. It makes me feel more empathy for my Filipinx community.
