On April 1, 1976, Apple introduced its first product. the Apple 1, a desktop computer that came as a single motherboard, pre-assembled, unlike other personal computers of that era. Apple 1 was invented by Wozniak, who also hand-built every kit. The product was just a motherboard with a processor and some memory. Customers had to build their own case and add their own keyboard and monitor. It was sold for $666.66 USD (equivalent to about $3,032 USD as of 2020).
