Descripción:

Japan imperialism had spread across the Pacific ocean. It is easier to invade and convert an island with a smaller population and no geographic protection. This lead Japan to surround these islands and take most of them over. The United States plan was to go island hopping, taking over each island one by one. Each island the United States invaded would get closer and closer to Japan’s mainland. The Guadalcanal is a Salomon Island. It took over 6 months to get into the island and gain control. The government uses Navajo Windtalkers for battlefield communication. Their language was almost impossible to understand especially with code added. The was very important for the war because it was the first island in the Pacific we took controlled over from Japan and it only weakened Japan even more.
