Colonist responded to Parliament's acts with protests. Many networks of organizations, that were called the Sons of Liberty were created. They were often aimed to intimidate stamp agents. Before the Act took effect, all stamp agents had resigned.The Massachusetts Assembly suggested a meeting be held to work for the repeal of the Stamp Act. This ultimately lead to the repeal of the Stamp Act in 1766.Añadido al timeline:
