After years of increasing tension Napoleon increased the size of his army to something that the world had never seen before and advanced into Russian territory. This campaign would prove to b long, and the weather and environment would lower his number of troops exponentially. Despite winning several battles, Napoleon had to return empty handed as Russians burned Moscow as they retreated.
