21 jun 1915 año - Guinn v United States

Descripción:

This case argued the Oklahoma's Grandfather's Clause was unconstitutional because it violated the 15th amendment, which directly stated the right to vote may not be restricted by race, color or previous conditions of servitude. This supreme case said that the grandfather clause was in contradiction but could not get rid of the literacy test as long as it was 'racially neutral'. Although it did not completely open up voting it did help in truly securing the right to vote.
