2 jul 1890 año - Sherman Anti-trust Act
Descripción:
The Sherman Antitrust Act made it illegal to monopolize any part of trade or commerce, maintaining free trade. Senator John Sherman of Ohio, was the main author of the first antitrust act in America. The general public did not like how the monopolies of America hurt small businesses and could control the pricing of some goods. Competition was eliminated by monopolies limiting consumer choice in the market. Congressed passed the act with an overwhelming vote under the presidency of Benjamin Harrison.
