On May 7th, 1945 Germany finally surrendered. After a few days of fighting, from troops who were still loyal in Berlin, Germany accepted the terms of an unconditional surrender. The next day was proclaimed V-E Day, for “Victory in Europe. Today in certain countries in Europe, this day is celebrated as a holiday; The Day the War ended.
