The Colonists were upset with the Parliament taxing them, so the 13 American Colonies formed groups to protest against the British. One of the secret groups they formed was called the Sons of Liberty. The Sons of Liberty fought to protect the rights of the Colonial people and they intimidated the stamp agents, hoping to get the Stamp Act Repealed. They protested for “no taxation without representation”, stating that since they did not have Colonial representation in the parliament, they were not allowed to be taxed by the British. The Colonist also put a ban on British imported goods. This was significant because the ban and the protesting led the British to repeal the Stamp Act.
