On September 19th, 1931 Japan begin their invasion of a North Easter Chinese province called Manchuria. China had been in a period of inter-political turmoil. Japan decided to take advantage of this issue. Manchuria was full of resources that the Japanese needed. Manchuria also provided space for Japan's rapidly growing population.
