Nat Turner was a slave who believed that he was divinely inspired. Nat was the leader of a slave revolution in Southampton, Virginia that kills 60 white people over the span of 3 days. This event took place during August of 1831. This led to Dred Scott v Stanford as African American's felt more empowered to stand up for their rights.
