The Battle of the Atlantic was the longest naval conquest in history. It was made to block the Germans from trading. It also protected the Atlantic all the way until the Germans had surrendered.

We had started this naval conquest to defend ourselves from any German attack on the U.S. and to help others in Europe. We had wanted to stop the Germans as quickly as possible.
