There is not much known about Charles, however, Charles has had two different interactions with Vikings in his lifetime. Charles encountered the Vikings before the Seige of Paris in 845. However, after that event, Charles ensured that Paris wouldn't be as vulnerable through building bridges across rivers that the Vikings would use to enter Paris.
