The project did well enough to enter the Billboard Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums charts, where it peaked at # 72. The mixtape contained a song called "Ignorance Is Bliss", where Lamar highlights gangster gangs and street crime. This particular song made legendary hip-hop producer Dr. Dre want to work alongside Lamar after seeing the music (Cinta de tiempo)
