The Tea Act was passed by the British parliament n 1773. It put taxes on all tea from Britain.The colonists were mad because they had no representation in parliament and they thought the taxes were unfair. The daughters of liberty suggested that the colonies should stop using Britains goods. This act led to the Boston Tea party.
