18 mayo 1896 año - Plessy v. Ferguson

Descripción:

Homer Plessy sat in a "Whites Only" part of a train, and he refused to move. He was then arrested, tried, and eventually convicted. He was convicted for breaking Louisiana's segregation law. Plessy later appealed and said that he was denied equal protection under the law. But, The Court decided that separate-but-equal places for whites and blacks was not a violation of the Constitution.
