The Armenian Genocide was the mass-murder of about one million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire aimed to solidify Muslim-Turkish dominance in Anatolia, and they went about that by murdering 1.1 of the 1.5 Armenian citizens living there.
