1 jun 1833 año - The Factory Act

Descripción:

The Factory Act of 1833 was government-passed act that was put in place to protect children in factories. Before the act, children were working long, dangerous hours in factories with little to no supervision. After this act was passed, children had a little more protection, but not much. The act put in place rules like "children ages 13-18 couldn't work more than 12 hours a day." This act was supposed to protect children, but their working conditions were still awful.
