1 ene 1750 año - The Classical Era

Descripción:

The Classical era occurred between the years 1750 and 1825 to mark the death of Johann Sebastian Bach and the start of the Romantic era. Most music written in this era was absolute music, which means it was written for music’s sake. There was not often meaning behind the pieces. At this time, the musical centre was in Vienna, Austria. From this, a new genre emerged called the Viennese school, which includes pieces by composers Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and their contemporaries. In the Classical era, composers moved away from the ornate style of the Baroque era. As a result, most music was homophonic. New forms such as sonata, rondo, and sonata-rondo emerged, as well as the birth of the Classical symphony, created by Franz Joseph Haydn. Popular genres from the Classical era include sonatas, trios, string quartets, symphonies, concertos, serenades, divertimentos, and operas. Around the year 1700, the pianoforte (or piano as we call it now) was invented. Other popular instruments from this era include flute, oboe, bassoon, Classical clarinet, french horn, trumpet, and trombone.
