Philip V was the first member of the House of Bourbon to rule Spain. This meant that the Spanish Netherlands and the Spanish lands in Italy were no longer part of the Spanish kingdom. besides that, though, his rule was rather uneventful, and he abdicated in 1724 in favor of his eldest son, Louis.Añadido al timeline:
